Project Overview
This full-home interior design project focused on creating a cohesive and elevated main living environment across three key spaces: the living room, family room, and dining room.
The design intent was to establish a refined interpretation of traditional style, balancing classic architectural influence with updated furnishings, layered textures, and a more relaxed, livable approach to everyday family life.
Rather than treating each space individually, the design was developed holistically to ensure consistency in tone, flow, and experience throughout the main living areas of the home.
The Intent
The goal of this project was to modernize traditional interiors in a way that felt timeless rather than themed or overly formal.
Traditional interiors often rely on symmetry, rich detailing, and structured layouts to create a sense of order and elegance. In this project, those principles were preserved but softened through updated furnishings, lighter visual weight, and a more approachable material palette.
The result is a home that feels grounded, comfortable, and refined, without sacrificing warmth or livability.
The Approach
Each space was designed with its own function in mind while maintaining a consistent design language throughout the home.
Living Room
A more formal yet inviting setting designed for conversation, layering classic proportions with updated textiles and finishes to keep the space feeling current.
Family Room
Designed as a relaxed, everyday gathering space with a focus on comfort, scale, and functionality for family use.
Dining Room
A refined, intentional space that balances tradition with restraint, creating a setting suited for both casual meals and elevated entertaining.
Across all three spaces, attention was given to:
Scale and proportion of furnishings
Layered but controlled material palette
Balance between formality and livability
Consistency in color story and visual rhythm
The Result
